Hide Folders With A Simple CMD Command

Here is an easy trick to hide your private files or folders. But remember one thing, once you hide your file then you can not find it through simply browsing around, through the command prompt, or even if you click "Show hidden files & folders".
How To Hide A File...

1) Open DOS Prompt (Start-> Run -> cmd).

2) Type “CD C:<NameOfTheFolderContainingConfidentialFile >”

3) Now type “attrib <Your FileName> +s +h”
4) Now, go back to C:<NameOfTheFolderContainingConfidentialFile > and look for your file or folder, it’s not there!

5) To find the folder and it’s contents again simply go back to the command prompt, type “CD C:<NameOfTheFolderContainingConfidentialFile>”
6) Then type “attrib <FileName> -s -h”. You should now be able to find your file again!

The good thing about this approach is that the hidden folder cannot be seen by using show hidden files and folders in folders option. And no one can use this method to unhide files unless they know the name of the desired folder.

NOTE: You should be careful because if you forget the name of the folder you will also not be able to view it yourself.
